The Denver Nuggets could reportedly trade veterans Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a package that includes Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert.

Denver has struggled in the first quarter of the season as the team is currently 11th in the West with an 8-15 record. The team has lost five of their last six games and speculations abound that they are ripe for a rebuild soon.

The NBA's restriction to trade newly-signed free agents will be lifted on Dec. 15 and one of the latest trade rumors circling right now is a six-player deal between the Nuggets and Cavaliers.

HNGN indicated a potential trade between the two teams and the details are as follows: Cleveland gets Gallinari and Faried from the Nuggets while Denver receives Thompson, Shumpert, Channing Frye, Mike Dunleavy, and a 2020 first-round draft pick from the Cavs.

The trade is good according to the ESPN NBA Trade Machine, but it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be open to the rumored deal once the league's trade season begins.

Gallinari and Faried are two experienced players that will definitely add depth to the defending champions' frontcourt and wings. They are 28 and 27 years old respectively, which means both are still not past their primes or could actually be entering their primes.

Gallinari will bring a lot of help on the offensive end to back up LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love while Faried will contribute his energy and hustle, something that could be useful against their arch-rivals, the Golden State Warriors, who has Draymond Green playing a similar role.

However, the Cavs will have a huge hole to fill at the center spot with the exit of Thompson.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets will have a great start to a full rebuild with Thompson and Shumpert. Veterans Frye and Dunleavy are also useful to keep the team afloat during the transition while a future draft pick will always be valuable for any rebuilding team.
