Vivo Y66 Smartphone Launched in China at $216.62

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo officially launched its latest device - the Vivo Y66 smartphone - in China for the price of 1,498 yuan or equivalent to $216.62 (approximately Rs. 14,609.17). The device is the successor to the recently launch Vivo Y55.

The Vivo Y66 smartphone features a full metallic body design. It has a 5.5-inch HD TFT display screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor that clocked at a speed of 1.4GHz, which is coupled with Adreno 505 GPU.
The Vivo Y66 comes equipped with a massive 3GB of RAM onboard and an built-in 32GB of internal memory memory storage, which can be further expanded to up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, with Funtouch OS 3.0 user interface laid on top. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh capacity battery inside.
On the photography side, the Vivo Y66 smartphone sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with digital zoom and LED flash. Interestingly, the main camera is capable of video recording up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the front is a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f2.2 aperture and beauty mode for selfies.
Other features the Vivo Y66 smartphone offers include dual SIM slot support, 4G LTE network, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The device measures a body dimension of 153.56 mm x 75.79 mm x 7.49 mm and weighs around 157 gram. It will be available in Rose Gold and Silver color variants.
