Apple has announced that the company is finally selling and shipping its AirPods, which were announced during the iPhone 7 launching in September.

AirPods are now available online from the company’s website for $159, and orders are expected to be shipped in mid-January.

“AirPods will be shipping in limited quantities at launch and customers are encouraged to check online for updates on availability and estimated delivery dates,” Apple said in a press release.

Apple's AirPods are introducing an effortless wireless listening experience that offer high-quality audio and long battery life. Apple has used advanced technology to listen to music, make phone calls, watch TV shows and movies, play games, and interact with Siri.

Apple’s Bluetooth wireless earbuds have an easy pairing process as they are recognized quickly by any nearby Apple device signed into the same iCloud account. It has a low-power W1 chip that allows for flawless connection with devices in Apple's ecosystem. 

The Bluetooth wireless earbuds know when the user is listening to the music because it is placed in the ears. Music will be paused when it will be taken out of an ear. The playback controls are located to the Siri-enabled voice commands, which can be brought up by double-tapping on the buds.

The AirPods package comes with a lightning cable and travel case that can be used to recharge the headphones while users are on the go, providing the headphones up to 24 hours of battery life. The headphone is compatible with Apple devices that run on iOS 10, watchOS 3, or macOS Sierra.

Currently, AirPods are available in over 100 countries including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, China, India, Japan, France, Germany, and Mexico.
