Rockets Display Impressive Comeback Against Timberwolves, Stretch Win Streak to 10 Games

With less than three minutes left on the game clock, the Minnesota Timberwolves handed over the Houston Rockets its eighth loss of the season and eventually snapped the latter's impressive winning streak.

The Timberwolves lead 93-81 with just 2:20 remaining on regulation and what followed was one of the greatest basketball comebacks in recent memory. The Timberwolves was unable to guard the Rockets' pick-and-pop plays with Ryan Anderson always finding the bucket and closed the night with 28 points, including seven three-pointers.

According to SB Nation, the Rockets made three three-point shots in the last 38 seconds of the fourth quarter and forced the game into overtime. The Rockets eventually forced its way to victory closing the overtime 16-14.

James Harden, despite a tough night with 8-of-20 shooting, was close to a triple-double with 28 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists. Trevor Ariza had 11 points and five rebounds, while Clint Capella had 10 points and four rebounds. Coming off the bench, Eric Gordon had 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

According to NBA.com, the Wolves' Karl-Anthony Towns was on his usual stride with 41 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists. Zach LaVine added 24 points, two rebounds, and six assists. Andrew Wiggins had 13 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block.

The Rockets having completed its 10-game winning streak are now 21-7, while the Wolves dropped to 7-19. The Wolves will be hosting the Phoenix Suns on Monday, while the Rockets will host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
