The former NBA guard had an impressive stat line in his primary season in the Chinese league. Fredette is currently averaging 39.4 points per game, beating all other top scorers in the biggest professional basketball league in Asia.
According to Asia-Basket, Fredette is also in the league's top 10 players with the most steals per game, posting an average of 2.2 steals per outing, placing him in the eighth rank. He has a 55.7 field goal percentage and a 40.6 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc region.
Fredette, who was a product of the Brigham Young University Cougars, has led the Yao Ming-owned basketball outfit to the top of the team standing ushering the team to 17 victories in 19 games played this season.
With the 27-year-old native of Glens Fall, New York's impressive game performances, the Sharks have become a top contender for the CBA title. With his steady shooting hands, Fredette carried the Chinese professional basketball side in claiming the 2016 Merlion Cup over the Philippine squad of Mighty Sports with a close 78-77 triumph last September after the 2011 National College Player of the Year winner nailed in all of his three free throws after being fouled during the dying seconds of the championship match.
