Both Meizu M5S models will have a metal build, unlike the original model that is made of polycarbonate. In terms of design, the two models look exactly the same, which led some analysts to speculate that the changes were made under the hood.
According to Phone Arena, the Meizu M5S will sport a 5.2-inch display with 720p resolution. Memory options vary between 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB. Storage options will also vary between 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.
Rumors claimed that at the heart of the Meizu M5S is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and that this might be the MediaTek MT6750 chipset, although some said it houses the MT6573, according to Android Headlines.
On the camera aspect, the phone will have a 13-megapixel rear-facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor for video calling and selfie shots. Powering the phone is a 2,930mAh battery pack, which is expected to support fast charging technology since it has a MediaTek chipset.
The Meizu M5S is expected to come in three color variants: rose gold, gray, and gold. Now that the phone has secured a TENAA certification, it will not be long until the phone finally hits the market.
