Golf superstars Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson and basketball great Michael Jordan are among the 20 wealthiest celebrities in the US, Forbes reported on Wednesday.

According to a published report of the Yahoo Sports, the 40-year-old Woods is the youngest person having an estimated net worth of $740 million.

The 11-time PGA Player of the Year, who went through a costly divorce in 2010 and lost several sponsorships after revelations of multiple extramarital indiscretions, ranks seventh on the list.

Meanwhile, 46-year-old Mickelson, made the cut and end up at the 18th spot, with a net worth of $375 million.

Jordan, 53, who retired in 2003 with the mantle of arguably the greatest basketball player in the planet, is worth $1.2 billion, according to the magazine. The principal owner and chairman of the NBA team Charlotte Hornets ended up fourth on the list, which is topped by filmmaker George Lucas who has an estimated net value of $4.6 billion.

According to Forbes, the eligibility for the list was limited to United States citizens only who are rich because of their fame, rather than famous because they are rich.
