Raptors End Six-Game Road Trip with Demolition From Spurs

(Photo : Getty Images) The San Antonio Spurs started its offensive trashing of the Raptors early, finishing the first half with a 19-point lead on Tuesday night.

The San Antonio Spurs forced the Toronto Raptors into its lowest scoring game this season, 82-110, on Tuesday night. Helmed by two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs showed the Raptors how basic dynamics and fundamentals of basketball can win games.

The Spurs started its offensive trashing of the Raptors early, finishing the first half with a 19-point lead. According to NBA.com the Raptors' biggest lead is just two points, while the Spurs lead by as much as 34 points.

The Spurs' offense was on fire throughout the game. Shooting 55.1 percent on the field and assisting 32 times on 43 made field goals. The Spurs also shot 54.2 percent on the three-point area.

Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge has 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and a block. Continuing his impressive shooting streak, Aldridge shot 68.8 percent on the floor. Tony Parker had 15 points, two rebounds, and eight assists.

Leading the Raptors offense is DeMar DeRozan with 26 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Terrence Ross had 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Former Spurs Cory Joseph had 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Raptors star Kyle Lowry had a cold night with just six points, four rebounds, and two assists. He was two-of-nine on the field and missing all of his seven three-point shots.

The Spurs held the Raptors on the other side of the court as well, forcing the latter to shoot just 37.3 percent on the floor and 22.2 percent on the three-point area.

In a statement acquired by ESPN, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey described the Spurs as "a championship performance by a championship team."
