According to EuroBasket, the 39-year-old veteran American point guard went on an 11-17 shooting from the two-point range and connected five of his 13 attempts from beyond the arc region. Marbury also had four steals and three rebounds while playing for a solid 40 minutes.

Foreign import Grant Jerrett added with 17 markers, while Chinese player Zhe Ji contributed with 13 points and team-high eight rebounds for the winning side, which outrebounded Shanxi with a 37-29 advantage during the game.

According to Sina, the victory was the second consecutive win of the former league's powerhouse, which won three CBA titles in the past five years.

Beijing won its first CBA crown by defeating the Guangdong Southern Tigers in five games, and after being eliminated in the semifinal round of the 2013 CBA Playoffs, the Ducks returned to the Finals at the end of the 2013-2014 campaign and claimed their second trophy. Beijing then repeated as the league's champions in 2014-2015, making three titles in just four years.

The Ducks have experienced a tough season due to issues of different injuries on several key players of the teams. Beijing currently sits at the eighth spot on the Chinese league ranking having won 14 of the 25 games played.

Former NBA player Jamaal Franklin made game-high 36 points to paced Shanxi; however, the Brave Dragons committed too many turnovers in the final 12 minutes of the match that kept the visiting ballclub away from victory.

The Beikong Fly Dragons will be the next game assignment of the Ducks in the next round on Jan. 11.
