British luxury car manufacturer Bentley announced on Friday its newest creation: a 700-horsepower beast, which the automaker claimed is the fastest and most powerful production car it has ever built. Dubbed simply as the 2017 Continental Supersports, the car has a starting price of $293,300.
The new Continental Supersports is the third iteration of the supercar, which was first produced in the 1920s and was reintroduced back in 2009. The 2017 Supersports is a four-seater coupe.

Under the hood, the 2017 Continental Supersports has a twin-turbocharged, six-liter, W12 engine that is capable of producing up to 700 brake horsepower and 750 pound-feet worth of torque. Compared with the 2009 version, the new engine is up by 79-horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque.
The new Bentley Continental Supersports has an eight-speed automatic paddle-shifting transmission and an all-wheel drive train. The luxury supercar is capable of accelerating from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.4 seconds, according to Car Scoops. It also has a top speed of 209 miles per hour, which is five miles per hour faster than the previous model.
According to Bloomberg, the 2017 Continental Supersports is also available in a four-seater convertible configuration. This model costs $322,600 and can accelerate from zero to 60 in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 205 miles per hour.
On the interior, Bentley added a new diamond-quilted design on all four seats including the door panels. The car has checkered fascia panels and has 10 different veneers, as well as several color options for stitching.
The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports is expected to hit showrooms in May.
