The Detroit Pistons are reportedly unwilling to trade power forward Marcus Morris despite his poor performances in the last few weeks.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Morris, 27, has been in a slump during a 10-game stretch when the Pistons went 2-8, winning only against a LeBron James-less Cleveland Cavaliers and an undermanned Miami Heat side.

Morris missed one of those games, but for the rest, he reportedly shot poorly with 31 percent in field goals and 24 percent from beyond the arc. Detroit is said to be being outscored by their opponents by 8.4 points a night every time Morris is on the court.
Right now, the Pistons are also slumping and so speculations abound that Van Gundy is close to tinkering with their roster. The team is 11th in the East at the moment with a 17-21 record, two games behind eighth-place squad Washington Wizards.
With that, rumors have come out that Stan Van Gundy could decide to trade Morris before this February's trade deadline, something that the Pistons' team president and head coach had recently denied.
"Marcus was a huge, huge part of what we did last year," Van Gundy told reporters a day after the team's 121-116 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 3, via ESPN. "He was playing well early this year. And he's had three tough weeks."
"So you've seen a guy play with you in your system and with your guys for almost a year and a half. What are you going to do? Blow it up and trade him and feel like he's not good enough because he's had a tough three weeks in a year and a half? That doesn't even make sense," the coach added.
The Pistons have only played one game since then, a close 115-114 home win over the Charlotte Hornets after Marco Belinelli's buzzer-beater was ruled out by game officials.
Morris had a double-double in that game with 20 points and 10 rebounds plus three assists and one shot block. However, he continued to shoot poorly, in general, shooting 5-for-15 from the field but made 3-for-6 from downtown.
