After suffering two consecutive losses, the league's leading team of Shanghai Sharks will be looking to bounce back and return to the winning column of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) in its upcoming 26th round on Wednesday when it face the 13th-ranked ballclub of the Jilin Northeast Tigers.

According to Asia-Basket, the Sharks tasted the team's first back-to-back defeats of the season as they yielded to the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the 24th round and fell short against the team of the Shenzhen Leopards in the 25th round of the league.
The upcoming game will be the second time that the two teams will be facing each other this season. The Northeast Tigers were the first team in the league to hand the Sharks their first loss after beating the Yao Ming-owned basketball outfit in the seventh round of the CBA with a 104-103 win last November.
With two unfavorable game results in the last two rounds, it is likely that the Sharks will be going to exert more effort to break their losing skid and to get even with the Bob Donewald-headed Chinese club.
Shanghai currently owns the CBA's best win-loss record of 21-4 while the Jilin had 11-14. However, the Northeast Tigers will be entering the upcoming match with a 113-109 win over the Liaoning Flying Leopards in the previous round.
CBA's leading scorer Jimmer Fredette is expected to be Shanghai's main offensive weapon, while Jilin will be defending on its foreign basketball reinforcements Jabari Brown and Malcolm Thomas to carry the squad to another victory.
Basing in the box score of the EuroBasket, Brown poured in team-high 30 points and Thomas had another double-double game performance of 11 points and 19 rebounds in their last game.
The Northeast Tigers have four more other players who finished that match in double figures and the team will be looking to find ways to replicate that balance scoring game they have had against Liaoning in order to beat the Sharks one more time.
