Recent reports have emerged that the Atlanta Hawks have pulled back All-Star power forward Paul Millsap from the trade market after trading shooting guard Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.

ESPN reported that the Hawks have "abruptly decided to halt their attempts to trade" Millsap following a "season-high-tying winning streak of six games". Atlanta's management said to have suddenly become reluctant of letting go of the 31-year-old, three-time NBA All-Star as the team has been playing well "in the midst of all the recent trade speculation".

The Hawks have climbed to the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings as a result of the winning run and the club's senior officials reportedly believe that Millsap should stick around for the meantime.

However, the report noted that with this season's trade deadline still 45 days away, it is still possible for Atlanta to reconsider and put Millsap back in the market once again as the deadline draws near.

It was also noted that Hawks general manager had started notifying interested teams on Monday that Millsap is no longer available for a trade.

Last Saturday, Atlanta traded Korver to the Cavs in exchange for Mike Dunleavy, Mo Williams, and a 2019 first-round draft pick, which left Millsap as the only remaining starter in the Hawks' 2014-2015 conference finals-reaching unit.

Millsap had then expressed concern that he could also be gone before the current season ends.

"It's tough, but being in the league for 11 years, there's going to be a lot of rumors," said Millsap with regards to recent speculations mentioning his name. "Who's to say they're true or not? But whatever happens, you gotta just be prepared for‎ it."

On Tuesday, before going on a four-game road trip, Millsap had a different tune talking to reporters, saying that he does not want to worry about the trade rumors and would just want to focus on helping the Hawks win, as per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Rumors are rumors," he said. "I think we know that. Been down this road before. I think we talked at the beginning of the year that it wasn't going to be the first or the last time. It is what it is. Whatever happens, I think everybody knows where my heart is and where I want to be. But we'll see what happens. The only thing I can worry about and I can do is to go out there and play my butt off every night and try to get wins for this team."
