After Kanye West was slammed by netizens and the press alike for reportedly demanding handicapped, mobility-challenged Australian fans to stand up and dance, his wife Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to defend him.

Along with a short clip of the rapper-producer's Australian concert, Kardashian wrote a lengthy message to her fans and followers.

According to the 33-year old reality star, "What an amazing Australian tour! It's frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheelchair to stand up and the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up and dance unless they were in a wheelchair."

West also defended himself during a concert in Brisbane, wherein he halted it momentarily to address the said controversy. He ranted on about how the press wanted him to look like a "bad person".
In the said issue, West was said to have told concertgoers to stand up and dance as he rapped. While most of his fans stood up, two individuals in the crowd remained seated.

West continued to insist that they stand up, even halting his song just to point the two out.

One gestured that she had a prosthetic limb, so West had told her that it was okay for her to remain seated.

The other one was in a wheelchair, but it seemed as if the rapper didn't notice the chair or the crowd hinting that the fan was disabled. He proceeded to tell his security to go to the fan to pick him up so the fan would stand and dance.

After finding out that the fan was handicapped, the rapper told him it was fine to remain seated.

A number of people took to social media to rant about the artist's actions, with one user tweeting "i know Kanye west likes to think he's Jesus, but telling a wheelchair bound kid to stand up and dance won't help him."
