And with the season halfway through, the Qun Li-headed basketball side holds a better chance of making it to the playoffs.
Lampe was a second-rounder pick in the 2003 NBA Draft being selected by the New York Knicks as the draft class' 30th overall pick. However, the Knicks traded him to the Phoenix Suns on January 2004.
According to the official website of the NBA, Lampe has appeared in 21 official games in his first season with the Suns while posting averages of 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10.7 minutes of playing time per contest. On January 2005, he was again traded to the New Orleans and played 21 matches with the team while averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 boards while playing for 12.4 minutes per outing.
Lampe also had a short stint with the Houston Rockets in the 2005-2006 season appearing in four matches. He has played in several leagues in the different parts of the world, playing in Israel (Maccabi Fox Tel-Aviv), Russia (Unics Kazan, Khimky, and Dynamo St.Petersburg) and Spain (Laboral Kutxa).
