The red-hot team of the Los Angeles Clippers continued to further stretch their winning run as they crushed the visiting ballclub of the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 120-98 win on Monday evening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, even after star player Chris Paul failed to finish the game due to an injury.

Starting guard JJ Redick poured in 20 points, and DeAndre Jordan finished the match with a double-double production of 19 points and 15 rebounds as the Clippers notched their seventh straight win since beating the Phoenix Suns last Jan. 2. Marreese Speights had an impressive game performance of season-high 23 points coming off the bench.
"We're just clicking, all of us," the 28-year-old Jordan, who sat out in the final period, said. "It's more defense. Our second unit has been amazing. We're coming out with that mindset of playing hard for 48 minutes."
According to a published report of the ESPN, the 31-year-old Paul, a nine-time NBA All-Star, sprained his left thumb in the second quarter of the game and did not return back to play. He had eight points, six assists, three rebounds, and one steal in 13 minutes of playing time for the Clippers, who own the league's longest active winning streak despite being without injured star Blake Griffin this season.
Coach Doc Rivers said that an initial X-ray result on the thumb of the team's ace point guard was negative and Paul was set to have an MRI on Tuesday. Despite Paul's injury, the Steve Ballmer-owned basketball club shot 55 percent and dominated the paint, outscoring the Thunder 62-34.
According to the official website of the NBA, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be the next guest team that the Clippers will be hosting on Thursday. The Wolves currently rank 12th in the Western Conference and own a 9-13 win-loss record on games played on road this season.
Clippers own a 1-0 matchup edge over the Wolves. Los Angeles defeated Minnesota last Nov. 12 with a 119-105 at the Target Center.
