Ford Confirms Redesigned 2018 F-150 Truck

Automaker Ford is making some major and interesting updates for its upcoming 2018 F-150 pickup. Motoring experts said that Ford's latest redesign decision simply highlights how committed the company is when it comes to its F-Series trucks, which are among the most popular in the United States.

The 2018 Ford F-150 will feature a redesigned front-end grille as well as wheel options. It will also sport new seat colors and a suite of new tech features. Under the hood, Ford will start to offer a new model with a diesel engine, according to Khou.

Highlighting the new tech features of the Ford F-150, Autotrader senior analysts Michelle Krebs said, "Added technology features fit with what we hear from consumers who want more and more technology, specifically safety features and information features that make them more connected."

Among the confirmed features are support for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. According to iTechPost, the new Ford F-150 will also feature adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, and pre-collision assist software.

Each 2018 Ford F-150 model will feature an automatic start-stop technology, which is designed to turn the engine off while the truck is on halt in order to conserve fuel. In terms of engine specs, Ford said that the F-150 will be available in a 3.0-liter turbodiesel variant, an enhanced V6 and V8 engines, and 10-speed automatic transmission options.

The new 2018 Ford F-150 is expected to hit the market this fall. Ford is yet to announce the complete specs of every model, as well as their respective prices. The new Ford F-150 will be built at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant and Kansas City Assembly Plant located in Missouri.
