After a possible collaboration between music icons Barbra Streisand and Beyoncé fell through, Streisand is said to be desperate to get the pop diva to work on a song with her.

The veteran singer, who just released a new Partners album, admits that she's disappointed that a duet with Beyoncé for the said album didn't push through. Streisand managed to get male singers to do a duet with her on the said record, including John Mayer, Michael Bublé, John Legend, Blake Shelton and the late Elvis Presley.

"Beyoncé tried to do something. I would love to sing with her, I'm mad for her; I think she's spectacular," she said.

Although Streisand admits that she is not too familiar with the younger singers of this current generation, she believes there certainly are a number of them that have made an impact on her.

"I'd love to sing with Rihanna, Adele, but I don't know all the other girls," she explained

Streisand says her most favorite and memorable song in the album is a duet she did with her son, Jason Gould, calling him her "pride and joy".

She recalls the time Gould had told her that he wanted to become a singer, which gave her an absolute shock.

The singer also talked about her enduring relationship with another man in her life - her husband of 16 years, actor James Brolin.

She said she's gotten used to the consistent divorce rumors, joking about a supermarket encounter with a fan.

"[James and I] were holding hands ... and a guy behind us said 'Oh, you're back together?' And I went -- well my husband knew about this but he didn't tell me -- I said 'When were we apart?' to this guy. And he says, 'Oh, I think, hmm hmmm something or other,'" Streisand narrated.
