Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo officially unveiled the third member of the '"V5" flagship series smartphone dubbed as the Vivo V5 Lite. The device is the successor to the previously launched Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus.

As for the specifications, the new Vivo V5 Lite smartphone features a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by an unnamed 64-bit octa-core processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 32GB of internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to a massive 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The photography side, the Vivo V5 Lite smartphone sports a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear panel and a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, which is coupled with Vivo's latest customized user interface laid on top. Fueling the device is a non-removable 3000mAh capacity battery.

Other features the Vivo V5 Lite offers include dual SIM (GSM and GSM) that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM, GPS, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include the proximity sensor, accelerometer, Compass Magnetometer, and Ambient light sensor. The device measures a body dimension of 153.80 x 75.50 x 7.60 (height x width x thickness) and weighs around 155.00 grams.

The official price of the Vivo V5 Lite smartphone was not revealed yet, but it is expected to be cheaper compared to its predecessors.
