Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has announced that its latest entry level device - the ZTE Blade V8 Pro smartphone - is now available in the United States for the price of $229. The phone can be purchased on various online retailers in the country which include Amazon, Best Buy, B&Hphoto, and Newegg.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro smartphone was announced at the Consumer Electronic Show 2017 earlier this month. During the event, several tech enthusiasts were amazed on the decent specifications of the device considering that it is only a mid-range entry level smartphone.

To recall, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display screen with 401 ppi. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 625 processor, which is paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It has a massive 3GB of RAM onboard and comes with a built-in 32GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the photography side, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro sports a dual-camera 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor with autofocus, face detection, self-timer, and dual LED flash support. On the front is an 8-megapixel shooter, which is capable of video recording up to 4K video resolutions at 120 frames per second. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box. Fueling the phone is a 3,140 mAh capacity battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology support.

Other features the ZTE Blade V8 Pro offers include a  front-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM slot (GSM only), built-in HiFi audio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 2.0, USB Type-C, GPS with A-GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth v4.2.
