Chinese Super League Clubs Target Move for Brazilian Footballer Dani Alves, Shanghai SIPG Leads the Race

At least three Chinese football outfits have been reported to made bids to sign and hire the services of the Brazilian international full-back Dani Alves, according to media reports.
In a published report of Xinhua, the Chinese Super League last season's third-best performing team of the Shanghai SIPG in China's top flight is reportedly leading the race to ink the 33-year-old native of Juazeiro. The Red Eagles have been said to offer a massive annual wage of €10 million (US$ 10.75 million) to acquire the rights to have Alvez in their squad.

Shanghai SIPG is currently under the watch of the seasoned Portuguese football manager Andre Villas-Boas. The CSL side is based in Xuhui, Shanghai, and their home stadium is the Shanghai Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 56,000. The club's owners are the Chinese group Shanghai International Port (Group) (SIPG).
Other clubs to express interest, according to the report, are Tianjin Quanjian and Hebei China Fortune. Alves, who has been capped 100 times for Brazil, joined the professional Italian football side of the Juventus on a free transfer in July 2016 after eight successful seasons with Barcelona.
According to The Sun, the Brazilian football star has been limited to just eight league appearances this season. Alves, who was the 2006 UEFA Cup Most Valuable Player, has a running contract with the Agnelli family-owned Serie A club that will be expiring on June 2018.
Alves is the second-most decorated football player in the European tournaments of all time with nine European medals, leaving him one behind former AC Milan Italian star player Paolo Maldini on the all-time list. China had been very active in luring high profiled international football stars to bring their talents to the Far East in move to bolster their roster and gain worldwide recognition in the field of football.
Among other high valued football stars to join the big spending Chinese clubs in recent times are Carlos Tevez (Shanghai Shenhua), Oscar (Shanghai SIPG), Ezequiel Lavezzi (Hebei China Fortune), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan) and Demba Ba (Shanghai Shenhua).
