Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a Blue Coral variant of its latest device dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The smartphone was initially available in Black, Gold, and Silver color.

This information was confirmed by a post made on Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun's official Weibo account. He posted pictures of himself in skiing on Switzerland holding a blue smartphone that has been confirmed as the Mi Note 2.

The new Blue Coral Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone features a 5.7-inch dual-curved OLED display screen with FHD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 621 processor, which is paired with 6GB of RAM onboard. The phone is available in two variants storages; 64GB and 128GB of internal memory.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone sports a 22.56-megapixel rear-facing camera with EIS, coupled with an 8-megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies. The smartphone runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, which is coupled with Xiaomi's latest MIUI 8.0 user interface laid on top. Fueling the device is a non-removable Li-ion 4,070 mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology support.

Other features the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 offers include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with A-GPS, fingerprint scanner, NFC, USB Type-C 1.0, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE network support. The device measures a body dimension of 156.2 mm x 77.3 mm x 7.6 mm and weighs around 166 grams.
