Famous Chinese billionaire Xiao Jianhua has disappeared from the luxurious Hong Kong Four Seasons Hotel under mysterious circumstance. Hong Kong police are reportedly unable to track the whereabouts of the billionaire.
Xiao was reportedly last spotted at the Four Seasons hotel last week Friday. Several media reports claim that he was probably picked up by Chinese investigative agents and is currently being interrogated in mainland China for alleged graft charges.

While these unconfirmed reports have done little to solve the mystery, Xiao's company Tomorrow Group issued two statements on their official WeChat account that were later removed.
The first statement flatly denied the abduction rumors as it read: "I, Xiao Jianhua, am recuperating overseas now and all is good! Business is normal at Tomorrow Group." The second statement, which was released barely hours later, made a sort of u-turn.
The statement claimed that Xiao has not been "captured" and taken back to the mainland China and would appear "very soon after the treatment." It quoted Xiao saying that as a Canadian citizen he enjoyed the consular protection of Canada and was also fully covered by the Hong Kong law.
However, these retracted statements have not been backed up either by the Canadian Embassy in Beijing or Hong Kong police.
Although Hong Kong police said that it received "request for police assistance," it did not mention whether it was for Xiao Jianhua.
One source claims that Xiao's wife had filed a missing person's report with police. However, she later withdrew it.
The reported arrest of Xiao assumes huge importance since he enjoys a close relationship with several powerful Chinese officials, including President Xi Jinping and his family.
