Six-straight Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande is reportedly aiming to win a Quadruple this season under multi-titled head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

ESPN reported that the Southern China Tigers are "targeting a clean sweep" of the CSL title, Chinese Super Cup, Chinese FA Cup, and the AFC Champions League trophy this season, something that the club almost did last year.

Guangzhou had won all three domestic titles last term but was eliminated in the group stage of the 2016 AFC Champions League by only one point after key losses to Australia's Sydney FC and Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds. The team has won two of the last four AFC Champions League titles.

Team owner Xu Jiayin has announced the club's plans for the upcoming season, saying that they want to continue to win the CSL title until the year 2020.

"At the moment, what is our target for the season? The championship, every year all the way through to 2020," Xu said. "This year, our target is to win four titles: the Asian Champions League, the Chinese Super League, Chinese FA Cup, and Chinese Super Cup."

"By nailing down another CSL title, we can claim ourselves to be a world-class club. We have to target the CSL championship every year," he added.

Xu has been in charge of the club since 2010, leading the club to its promotion to the CSL from the China League One before winning the next six China top-flight trophies with high-profile managers such as Marcello Lippi and Fabio Cannavaro.

Scolari, a World Cup-winning coach of the Brazil national team, has been with Guangzhou the summer of 2015. He has been responsible for two CSL titles, one AFC Champions League trophy, and one Chinese FA Super Cup.

Meanwhile, the South China Morning Post reported that Guangzhou will grant $390,000 to each of their players for every victory the team will achieve in the 2017 AFC Champions League.

Evergrande will open their Champions League stint against Hong Kong's Eastern Sports Club on Feb. 22 at the Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou.
