Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly offered Angel Di Maria to unnamed Chinese Super League clubs as the Ligue 1 champions have been unimpressed by the Argentine winger's form this season.

Di Maria, 29, was acquired by the Parisians in the summer of 2015 from English Premier League side Manchester United for a rumored transfer fee of $55 million. The Argentina international was instrumental in helping PSG win its fourth consecutive French top-flight title during his first season with the club in 2015-2016, scoring 10 goals in 29 domestic competitions.

However, Di Maria has been ineffective this season, the first under head coach Unai Emery, and has only netted two goals in 20 Ligue 1 games so far. PSG is second in the overall standings at the moment, three points behind league-leading Monaco with 11 rounds left in the term.

With that, speculations abound that Di Maria was "offered to several sides in the Chinese Super League" as PSG wanted to offload him in midseason, Caught Offside reported. The French club said to have advised his agent, Jorge Mendes, to shop Di Maria to some teams in China who can afford to buy the 5-foot-11 Rosario native.

The Sun indicated that Di Maria had found out about it and felt disrespected about his club's actions, which could lead to him trying to look for a Parc des Princes exit in the summer. One of Di Maria's family members reportedly said: "Angel did not really appreciate it. He found it disrespectful and out of place."

The transfer talks seemed to have reinvigorated Di Maria as he then scored two goals in a 4-0 Champions League win over La Liga giants Barcelona on Feb. 14. With his recent revival, it is not yet clear whether PSG officials will still push through a summer move.

Di Maria has scored a total of 23 goals in 76 appearances in all competitions in one-and-a-half seasons for PSG so far.
