HTC has announced official prices for new accessories for its Vive virtual reality headset – Vive Tracker and Vive Deluxe Audio Strap – at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
The new accessories for the virtual reality headset are essential to HTC's new Vive division
“We see an incredibly strong future for VR, and have created an entire ecosystem around Vive. The Vive ecosystem is evolving, adaptable and will continue to grow to drive the industry forward,” said Daniel O'Brien, GM VR, US, HTC Vive.

The Deluxe Audio Strap combines integrated audio with new comfort features, providing more comfortable upon use during long sessions. It offers a new sizing dial that facilitates immediate adjustments for single or multiple Vive users, making it easier and faster to jump into a VR environment. It also features built-in headphones to boot.
The Vive Tracker is developed to empower developers and accessory makers to make VR more immersive. It is a standalone tracking puck designed to attach to objects and accessories to turn them into VR peripherals.
The accessory can also be added to a dummy gun-type device to make the simulated in-game weapons work similar to the real ones. The Tracker can be attached to the user’s legs and arms to make any movement such as jumping and punching realistic fighting games.
Both Vive accessories cost $100 each, however their availability are different. The Vive Deluxe Audio Strap will go on sale for pre-order on May 2. The Vive Tracker will can be purchased in two phases: developers can pre-order on March 27 and the interested buyers will have to wait until later in the year. Both Vive Tracker and Vive Deluxe Audio Strap will start the delivery process in June.
