HTC has started to accept pre-orders for its latest flagship, U Ultra, in the United States.
The company will start shipping the device for its American customers on March 10. The handset costs $749 and available to pre-order in HTC’s official store. HTC U Ultra comes in unlocked variant only and in three color options: Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, and Ice White.

The HTC U Ultra will be comptible compatible with GSM/LTE service providers including AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket, Alaska Communications, NET 10, Straight Talk, and WalMart Family Mobile. Sprint and Verizon clients will not be able to get the unlocked version of the device and there is no word yet if these two American mobile carriers will get a special CDMA/LTE model.
The U Ultra was launched back in January along with HTC U Play. The device is considered as the new smartphone flagship of the company since detailed information on HTC 11 is too little. HTC U Ultra does offer a similar set of specs as the comparably priced Google Pixel XL.
The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and runs Android 7 Nougat coupled with HTC's new Sense Companion digital assistant. It offers 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD.
It features a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen with secondary ticker display that offers 1040 x 160 pixels. HTC U Ultra offers 16MP UltraPixel front camera and 12MP UltraPixel 2 rear camera. It is powered by 3000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. However, the HTC smartphone did not include 3.5mm headphone jack or support for CDMA networks.
