OnePlus has made Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as its brand representative, which is the first-ever “OnePlus Star” – which is a selected group of distinguished OnePlus users.

Bachchan has been endorsing in the past the LG’s flagship smartphones. The Bollywood star helped in launching LG G3 and LG G4 in the Indian market. Currently, OnePlus India’s move is the first face associating with for its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3T.

The veteran Indian star is one of the finest and the most admired actors in the country and he is also a person of immense credibility. For the Chinese tech firm, its latest flagship OnePlus 3T is rated as the best smartphone based on consumer ratings on Amazon India, showcasing the love and trust placed in the brand.

According to the OnePlus team in India, Bachchan has been chosen as brand ambassador because he represents OnePlus’ motto, which is “Never Settle”. Amitabh Bachchan claims that he is impressed with the specs and performance of OnePlus 3T and a user himself and is quite amazed with the phone. 

According to OnePlus, having Amitabh Bachchan as their brand ambassador helps to reach the actor’s fans and able to get the mass appeal. OnePlus is currently seeking to expand its reach into the offline market, increasing its chances of becoming a household name like Samsung.

OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau said that with Bachchan’s association with their product, it will further strengthen the bond, helping the brand scale new heights with the mass.
