Winless squads Liaoning Whowin FC (0-0-2, 2 points) and Jiangsu Suning FC (0-1-1, 1 point) will look to gain their first win of the 2017 Chinese Super League season as they meet each other at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Sunday, April 2.

Liaoning Whowin opened the season with a 1-1 draw against newly-promoted side Guizhou Zhicheng at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center on March 3. They then settled for a second consecutive 1-1 tie with Henan Jianye again on the road at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium in their second round match on March 12, as per ESPN.

After a goalless first half of play, head coach Ma Lin's squad opened the scoring in the 60th minute with a goal by local midfielder Yang Yu off a pass by Congolese defender Assani Lukimya.

However, Henan was able to level the count just two minutes later with a goal by Danish defender Eddi Gomes with the assist this time coming from forward Hu Jinghang.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu Suning, last season's runner-up squad, is struggling to find their form this term with two straight winless performances. Head coach Choi Yong-soo's team opened their campaign with an embarrassing 0-4 defeat at the hands of Carlos Tevez and Shanghai Shenhua on March 5.

The team was then able to improve their game in the second round as they were held to a 0-0 tie by lowly squad Tianjin Teda at their own home ground of Nanjing Olympic Sports Center on March 10, the Nation Online reported.

Jiangsu is expected to redeem themselves in this match against Liaoning as the Nanjing giants look to regain their top form.

The predicted result is a 2-0 bounce back win by Jiangsu Suning.
