The Obamas have largely avoided self-shot photos since the Samsung-sponsored selfie incident with Big Papi earlier this year. But on Wednesday, President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, indulged children on two separate occasions to a few selfies.
The president told the members of the Congress and their families gathered for the annual Congressional picnic in advance how he is not too keen to take a selfie, adding that he will make an exception with "little" people.

"But you have to actually be little," the president jokingly told the members of the Congress and their families.
Eliciting laughter from the crowd, the president quickly corrected himself and said he meant "young" and not "short."
The White House has prohibited the press corps from the annual picnic, so it is not known how many selfies the president actually made with the children of the lawmakers.
The event is seen as an opportunity for the president to shore up Congressional backing for Obama's military campaign against the Islamic State group in the Middle East and "major increase" in response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, The Hill reported.
The first lady, meanwhile, has also bent her ban on selfies while visiting the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday.
Michelle Obama met with several children from the world-renowned hospital. The first lady sat down with the children who were gathered in an activity room decorated with wall art declaring things like "Cancer sucks."
According to the Daily News, Mrs. Obama did not give a prepared speech, but instead asked the patients questions and allowed them to ask her some of their own.
One of the children raised the question of whether the first lady would like to take a selfie with them. Mrs. Obama obliged but not without first getting educated with terminologies.
As she wraps up her visit, the first lady gathered the children for a group photo, which the children insisted was called an "us-sie," the plural of "selfie."
