Huawei Silently Launched the Huawei Y5 2017 Smartphone on its Official Website

Huawei's latest entry-level device dubbed as the Huawei Y5 2017 smartphone was silently launched on its official website without any press release or official announcement. The device is the successor to the last year's Huawei Y5II smartphone.
In terms of the specifications, the Huawei Y5 2017 smartphone features a 5-inch HD display screen with 1280 pixels by 720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a quad-core MT6737T processor clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz, which is paired with 2GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 16GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD slot.

On the photography department, the Huawei Y5 2017 sports an 8-megapixel camera on the back with f/2.0 aperture and dual flash support. On the front is a 5-megapixel sensor with 84-degree viewing angle for better group selfies and video chats. The device runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, which is coupled with Huawei's latest customized EMUI 4.1 user interface laid on top of it.
The Huawei Y5 2017 is fueled by a 3,000 mAh capacity battery that the company claims will work at 80 percent capacity even after 800 charges. Other features the device offers include dual SIM (GSM and GSM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and 4G LTE network support. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient light sensor. The device measures body dimension of 143.80 mm x 72.00 mm x 8.35 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs around 155.00 grams.
