Vivo V5s Smartphone Launched in Malaysia

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has officially launched its latest selfie-centric device called the Vivo V5s in Malaysia. The phone is now available for pre-order via GST with a retail price of RM1299 ($301).
The Vivo V5s smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display screen with a resolution of resolution 1280 pixels by 720 pixels protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6750 processor paired with 4GB of RAM onboard and Mali-T860 graphics processing unit (GPU). It comes equipped with a built-in 64GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expandable up to a massive 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the camera department, the Vivo V5s smartphone flaunts a 20-megapixel front-facing shooter with an IMX376 sensor which was co-engineered by Sony, an updated Selfie Softlight, and f/2.0 aperture. The rear sensor is a 13-megapixel camera with a f/2.2 shooter with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology and LED flash support.
The Vivo V5s runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, coupled with Vivo's FunTouch OE 3.0 user interface. Fueling the handset is a 3,000 mAh capacity battery. The V5 sports a metallic unibody design that weighs around 154g and boasts of sleek lines with seamless curved edges.
The Vivo V5s smartphone will be available in Matte Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color. It will officially go on sale in Malaysia starting May 10.
