Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes welcomed a bouncing baby girl last Friday, September 12, and the two could not be happier.

Friends of the couple have been telling reports that the two are just over the moon with their new baby. Eva Mendes, is apparently "absolutely in heaven" and loving her new title of 'mom' right now.

Meanwhile, daddy Ryan Gosling is "madly in love with the baby," according to People Magazine. The actor, who is famous for portraying the lead male character Noah in the hit romantic movie "The Notebook", has been doting on the new bundle of joy and is described to be in complete awe of their beautiful little girl.

The two have been wanting children for a long time. Gosling's relationship with his "The Notebook" co-star Rachel McAdams apparently ended because of the latter not being ready to have children. Meanwhile, Mendes has been wishing for her own child for a long time.

Both celebrity parents have been vocal about adoring children and have talked about starting a family pre-baby.

Since the family's arrival at their own home, the A-list parents are not the only ones who are busy cooing over the little bundle of joy. Their parents and Ryan's sister have come to visit the newest member of their family.

Donna and Mandi Gosling, Ryan's mom and sister respectively, were ecstatic upon meeting the baby. Donna and Caridad Corrales, Eva's mother, were both at the hospital for the arrival of their first grand child from Eva and Ryan.

Caridad is supposedly even staying over at the new family's house in Los Angeles to help the new parents out.

The private couple kept the pregnancy secret until July. The two rarely ever left the comfort of their own home when they found out that the 40-year-old Mendes was expecting.

Mendes and Gosling used to be very active, traveling everywhere and going on hikes with their dogs. But since Mendes got pregnant, running errands alone became Gosling's duty.
