Nobody would have thought that Robin Thicke was battling really horrible demons with the way his music, especially his hit song "Blurred Lines", dominated the charts.

"Blurred Lines" turns out to be more controversial than its own (explicit) music video. Thicke, Pharell Williams and Clifford "T.I." Harris, Jr. filed a lawsuit to protect the songs from claims of it being a rip-off.

The children of Marvin Gaye, the "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" singer, sued Robin Thicke and Pharell Williams last year claiming that the song was copied off of Gaye's "Got to Give It Up".

But Thicke's number 1 hit is not the only thing that is taking a hit. His marriage with wife and high school sweetheart Paula Patton is also down in the dumps.

The Hollywood Reporter released Thicke's deposition last April in which he said, "Every day I woke up, I would take a Vicodin to start the day and then I would fill up a water bottle with vodka and drink it before and during my interviews."

The singer also admitted that he was always under the influence of drugs and alcohol whenever he had an interview and said that him claiming credit for the success of the song was done out of career jealousy.

Thicke is now sober from Vicodin, but admitted that he still drinks to this day.

Thicke and wife Paula Patton split up after being together for 20 years. Their five-year marriage apparently ended because Thicke told her the truth.

Patton left Thick February this year after gossip spread around that he was unfaithful.

Thicke was photographed touching another woman's derrière in 1Oak nightclub in New York. His MTV VMA performance with Miley Cyrus also caused headlines.

"I told my wife the truth. That's why she left me," the singer said about their separation.
