John Cena reclaimed the World Heavyweight Championship but in a harsh way, as Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins teamed up in abusing the Cenation leader in the main event of Nights of Champions at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cena achieved his 16th reign as a world champion in a bitter way, winning via disqualification thanks to Rollins' brutal interference in the main show of Sunday night's PPV event.

Looking to avenge the abuse he suffered at SummerSlam, Cena brought in a beastly attitude in the squared circle as his tenacity overwhelmed Lesnar's brute strength for most the match.
However, at the time he was about to finish off Lesnar with a fourth Attitude Adjustment, Rollins came out of nowhere and smacked his briefcase right on the head of Cena. The rest was all gore as Rollins and Lesnar punished Cena with bone-crushing blows, leaving the new champ in a mess at the end of the show.
Meanwhile, AJ Lee once again recaptured the Divas Championship after beating both Paige and Nikki Bella in a triple-threat match. Lee's victory at Night of Champions mark her third reign as the top cog in women's division of WWE.
The intercontinental championship and tag-team championship belts were also handed to new winners, as the Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler and Goldust and Stardust bested the Usos to win their titles, respectively. United States championship holder Shaemus was the only champ to defend the title at Nights of Champion, beating his challenger Cesaro with a Brogue out of nowhere.
Randy Orton also settled his score with Chris Jericho, after hitting him with an RKO in midair for a three-count pin. Earlier in the show, the former undisputed WWE champion served as the guest of Christian's PPV kick-off segment Peep Show.
Roman Reigns Injury Update: Reigns reportedly underwent surgery to fix his incarcerated hernia he suffered a day before Night of Champions. He was supposed to take on former Shield member Seth Rollins, who bragged the victory via forfeiture. Reigns is expected several months because of the injury, according to Lords of Pain.
