The Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2014 was an event for Xbox One fans to know more about up and coming Microsoft next-gen games. Fans were treated to new announcements and firsthand experience with several exclusive titles about to be released on the Xbox One.

Sunset Overdrive is a game set in Sunset City, overrun by those mutated by an energy drink called Overcharge. Its maker, Fizzco didn't test it and rushed to sell the drink.

But having realized its effects, Fizzco shut the entire city from the world and left the people inside while it covered up the error.

The main character is a tired cleaner who becomes free and is set to live vicariously because of the apocalypse.

Customization in the game is fine because a player can change anything about the character's appearance throughout the game. It's the only thing the player can control because the protagonist is already locked in.

The full game will have more variables though, but it has to be early and extensive to alleviate its monotony.

Meanwhile, Killer Instinct Season 2 had revealed its second character, monster hunter Maya.

It was announced at the Xbox Wire and fans who weren't able to see TGS 2014 can check out the video. Maya is powerful with blocking moves and ancient daggers.

Killer Instinct Season 2 will be available for the Xbox One on Oct. 15. Microsoft already gave fans an early choice for players who can't wait to play it.

Killer Instinct Season 1 was released on Sept. 23 along with the Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition pre-order. This offers instant access to TJ Combo and the full Killer Instinct 2 Classic version three weeks before the launch of Season 2.

Dark Dreams Don't Die or D4 has been in production for one year and it's set to be released in an episodic manner.

The game is about solving a murder investigation. After the launch, two more episodes and in-game clothing will be released.

Platinum Games is also working on Scalebound, an action-adventure game exclusive for Xbox One. It's said to be easier than previous games from the studio but battles may be more creative in Scalebound.
