The Nexus 9 release date could be in November. Many possible launch dates are being reported, however, and it's starting to confuse buyers about when it will actually be out in stores.

Google is set to release the 8.9-inch display tablet in the near future and according to Android Authority, Google plans to release it with new software on either Oct. 15 or 16.

Earlier reports claimed the Nexus 9 will be out on Oct. 8 because HTC will have an event on this date. On his Twitter account, developer Paul O'Brien posted the Nexus tablet will be launched on Oct. 24 in an event and it will be out though a UK carrier. Other reports suggest the Nexus 9 will be out on Oct. 31 or in November.

Google reportedly picked HTC to build the upcoming Nexus tablets. No surprise here since the two companies have worked together previously to develop the first Nexus phone.

The device had a 1 GHz CPU with Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset, a 5 megapixel auto-focused snapper, 512 MB of RAM, an accelerometer and compass. Google, however, worked with Samsung to replace HTC because of poor and small scale marketing.

Now the partnership between HTC and Google may be good for both companies as the latter finds more ways to expand its supplier base.

It could be a threat to Google though since Samsung works with the Tizen OS that could possibly drive the Korean tech giant away from Android. Based on the performance of Asus after Nexus 7, HTC may experience great things from its partnership with Google.

The Nexus 9 price may start at US$399 while the 32 GB variant may cost US$499.

Reported features include 2048 x 1440 pixels resolution with 281 ppi pixel density, 2 GB or RAM and a NVIDIA Logan Tegra K1 64-bit processor.
