Lena Dunham and EMILY's List Team Up

Lena Dunham teams up with EMILY's List for the "Not that Kind of Girl", her recent book, which will aim to help pro-choice female Democrats to be elected this coming November elections.
EMILY's List is a political action committee that strives to help put pro-choice Democratic female candidates to run for office. The committee was founded by activist Ellen Malcolm in 1985.

"She's committed to electing more pro-choice Democratic women to office because she knows that's how we get the policies that work for women. We're thrilled to have her on our team," said Jess McIntosh, director of communications at EMILY's list.
The HBO show "Girls" star, Lena Dunham, posted on her Instagram announcing her support for EMILY's list. "I am thrilled to support Emily's List candidates (pro-choice pro-woman!) on my trip across America! #voteearlyvoteoften," she posted.
The "Not that Kind of Girl" book tour will travel to 11 states including Iowa, where Staci Appel is being endorsed by EMILY's List to run for Congress. The book tour will also be making a stop in Texas where another candidate, Wendy Davis, is also being endorsed by EMILY's List to run for governor.
Not only is Lena Dunham promoting female Democrats, but she is also encouraging people to stand up and vote. Dunham collaborated with Planned Parenthood and wrote a blog on the site which aims to inspire people to take part in the coming election.
Lena Dunham supports feminism and periodically talks about issues that concerns women, her views can be seen in her Not That Kind of Girl book.
