Game Freak Pokemon releases always have a pattern, showing a remake and release of an older game with every next-gen game. Game Boy Advance had Fire Red and Leaf Green while DS had Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire is predictably next on the list along with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in November.

More details about the Mega Rayquaza were released during the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire livestream. Notably, it will achieve a unique Mega Evolution but the game developer still kept it a secret which can be discovered only when the game is played. Almost all of its stats will be raised upon Mega Evolution, including Sp. Atk and Attack. Its unique Delta Stream ability brings strong winds to change weathers, fails the moves Sunny Day, Rainy Dance, Hail and Sandstorm but Drought, Drizzle, Snow Warning and Sand Stream abilities are not activated.

Meanwhile, reports say there is another event called the Hoenn Pokemon NicoNico Match for players in Japan.  Registration is open until Oct. 10 for the Oct. 10-14 competition. The event will feature Double Battles that allow only the use of Pokemons numbered between 252 and 384 in the National Pokedex. Big ones such as Rayquazza, Goudon and Kyogre can be used only in battles. All Pokemon used in the event will have levels lowered to 25 and 2525 Pokemiles is the reward for joining.

The 2013 Pokemon X and Y is still in the loop with its Halloween event named the Trick-or-Treat Battle competition running the whole month of October. The competition is open for players in Europe and North America, featuring the Super Size Pumpkaboo. Reports say the Pumpkaboo has a Hidden Insomnia Ability that exclusively comes with the competition and cannot be attained before it.
