It could also address the Bendgate issue and report on iPhone 6 sales.
People are still talking about the iPhone 6 but Apple is already set to announce a few new product refreshes.
Unofficial details about the new iPads have already been leaked and according to reports, Apple will unleash the world's thinnest tablet. The iPad Air is said to be 0.5 mm thinner. There are reportedly relocated mics and new recessed volume buttons.
In other news, Mac desktops and new iPads will be available in gold apart from the silver and gray variants.
This move is reportedly due to falling iPad sales, a trend since the iPad was first introduced in 2010. According to reports, iPad sales dropped in the last two quarters, plunging from more than 19 million units to around 17 million units in the last quarter.
Apple shares also declined by 1.6 percent to $99.18 in the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange).
The iPad Air 2 rumored upgrades include the multitasking split window, Touch ID feature, 8 MP rear camera and 1.5 MP front camera with the A8 chip for extended battery life.
Reports say the iPad Air 2 will sport a 9.7-inch LCD display available in 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants.
