Star Wars fans would be excited about this news, because the next installment is about to be released. Star Wars Episode VII will be released under Walt Disney Pictures. Disney along with Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions will be the ones responsible for its production. The studio has already made a release date, which will be on December 08, 2015.

The cast includes John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (The Hobbit), Domhnall Gleeson (Black Mirror), and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones). Veteran actors of the movie are also joining in like Harrison Ford (Han Solo), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa).  J.J. Abrams will be directing the film while Lawrence Kasdan will be co-writing with him. Kasdan also co-wrote the last Star Wars movies, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Disney has acquired Lucasfilm two years ago and this is their first movie project since they have purchased it. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk will be the ones producing it. George Lucas however will be the movie's official consultant.

The filming already started and the cast were even spotted in Abu Dhabi last April of this year. Iceland is also another location that this movie will take place. The plot takes off from Return of the Jedi. Viewers will basically learn more about what will happen to Luke Skywalker along with other major casts like Han Solo and Princess Leia with the new adventures that they are about to face. And in case you are wondering, your favorite droids will still be present like R2D2 and C3PO.

Critics are already saying a lot of great stuff about it now that it is going to be under a new film company. Stick around for more updates but nevertheless, the movie is sure to hit the silver screen on December 18, 2015.
