Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" Fails To Take Top Spot In UK Singles Chart

Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" failed to take the top spot in the UK solo number one single chart. The said song instead landed in third place.
"Anaconda" is the latest single from Minaj's most recent album "The Pink Print" which is due for release later this year.
"All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor remained at the number one spot for the second week, while "Bang Bang", Minaj's collaboration with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, placed even higher than the singer's single, taking second place.

Despite debuting at number three, "Anaconda", which features the tunes from Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back", is the chart's highest new entry.
Aside from "Anaconda" and "Bang Bang", another Minaj-assisted track that made it to the chart is Usher's "She Came To Give It You" which debuted at sixteenth place.
At number four is singer Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off". The said single is also this week's most streamed track, garnering over 1.4 million streams.
Jeremih's "Don't Tell 'Em", which features YG, debuts at number five. The said single is the biggest UK hit of the R&B singer's to date following his 2009 hit song, "Birthday Sex" which peaked at the fifteenth spot on the chart.
"Blame" by Calvin Harris, which features John Newman, is at number 6; while Ella Henderson takes the seventh spot with "Glow".
Henderson's new single follows her chart-topper "Ghost" which was named as the most-downloaded song of the summer. Her upcoming album "Chapter One" is set to be released next week.
At eighth, ninth and tenth places are "Changing" by Sigma featuring Paloma Faith, "Blame It On Me" by George Ezra" and "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran respectively.
The cover of The Beach Boys' song "God Only Knows" debuted at twentieth place this week. The said single features 26 musicians and singers, including Elton John, One Direction, and Kylie Minogue. Proceeds from the sale of the single will all go to "Children In Need".
