Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 appear in new Google ads

Two new advertisements for Android have cropped up on "The Walking Dead" TV show online, with both subtly hinting at the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Google has done this before, leaking product photos and videos before they are released.

The two advertisements are each about 30-seconds long. The motto featured in the ads is "Be Together, Not the Same," which alludes to customers doing the same social activities while still keeping their individualism. This is one of the first Android advertisements we have seen from Google.

Google's first advertisement shows the Nexus 6. A few animated characters are sitting at a bus stop when a phone begins to ring. The smallest character pulls out a massive smartphone, referencing the 5.9-inch display on the Nexus 6.

The second advertisement hides the Nexus device better. The animated characters are back and they are driving in a Winnebago, when the camera pans out four times. On the third time, the blond haired chacter in the front is holding a tablet, which looks suspiciously like the Nexus 9 in previous leaks.

One leak on its own shouldn't be taken as a hint, but when Google references the two products coming this year in their advertising segment, it could be more serious. It should also be noted that the driver on the Winnebago is wearing an Android Wear watch.

Google is expected to release the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Android L on October 15, one day before the iPad event. The Nexus 6 will be developed in partnership with Motorola, the Nexus 9 in partnership with HTC.

Android L has been in testing since late June, after being announced at Google I/O. This is the longest Google has held off from mass launch of an update after first reveal, keeping users on Android KitKat 4.4 for a good six months.
