Verizon Wireless to Launch Motorola Droid Turbo

Verizon Wireless has revealed a new teaser for the Motorola Droid Turbo, which will debut on October 28.

Verizon Wireless is teasing a new device, reportedly the Motorola Droid Turbo, that is expected to debut on October 28. The smartphone will be the next in the Droid line, and will be the first time Verizon ships just one main flagship smartphone, turning away from their Droid family idea.

Last week, there were two leaks about the Droid Turbo's existence, alongside a photo posted by Motorola. The new Droid Turbo will remain true to the Verizon design language, with a red Kevlar back, the same as previous generations.

Motorola has added their usual logo-indent on the back of the device, along with a dual-LED flash. Usual Verizon stamps will be added on the back of the device, and Verizon will likely slap some logos on the front of the device too just for good measure.

It does look like it will be a thinner overall design from Motorola. In leaked specs reports, the Droid Turbo will reportedly have a 5.2-inch QHD display, quite a lot better than the current crop of 1080p screens available on Android.

Internally, the Droid Turbo is stacked with power, starting with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone battery stay juiced a few days, thanks to a 3900mAh battery put inside the device.

It also seems likely that if Google launches Android L on October 15, then the Droid Turbo should run the new OS update.
