Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday accused United States President Barack Obama on Wednesday of having a hostile attitude against Moscow after the White House chief mentioned that Russia's aggression towards Ukraine is a global threat.
Before visiting the European Union on Thursday, Putin delivered a speech saying Washington should understand first what the interests of Moscow are before talking about the country that way.

Putin's statement came after Obama's statement during the United Nations General Assembly in September. The U.S. president mentioned that Russia's meddling with the pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine is one of the top threats in line with the Islamic State of Iraq in the Levant (ISIL) militants or Daesh and the health outbreak in West Africa.
Putin noted that Obama's tone on Russia's suffering economy was hostile. The Russian leader then pressed that said his speech really served to convince other countries to stop investing in them.
Putin is hoping that their existing trade partners will understand what Obama is trying to do.
Nuclear power was also mentioned in Putin's speech and he pressed that other countries should remember what this can do if used in a strategic stability.
Aside from these, Putin also accused Obama of meddling with the affairs of Moscow, saying the United States is really to blame for what happened to Ukraine in the past months. He said that U.S. supported the protests then later blamed everything on Russia, making it look like Kremlin threw the Ukrainians and the separatists in a civil war.
Putin then proceeded to talk about making a constructive dialogue or mending strains with the West once their interests are taken into account "genuinely." He was talking about lifting the economic sanctions that the U.S. imposed on Moscow.
The White House has yet to comment on the statements made by the Russian ruler.
