Actress-singer Selena Gomez sat down with the women of "The Talk" last Friday and shared with them what her best friend Taylor Swift had advised her regarding money and love.
Gomez shared that Swift had visited her house recently and that they had a serious talk while sitting by the fire. The star shared that she was telling Swift about her relationships and businesses, when the "Shake It Off" singer "just kind of looked at me and was like, 'Selena, if you're the smartest person in the room, I think you're going to be in the wrong room."

Swift then proceeded to tell her that she should make a conscious decision to surround herself with people who will pull her up and make her better, as well as those who will want to challenge and motivate her.
The former Disney star said that Swift's words stuck to her and, made her feel like she really did need people who wanted the best for her and, who wanted her to be a better version of herself.
The two singers have been friends for years and, Gomez shared that they have always had each other's backs. The star said that what she loves most about Swift is that she is a very supportive friend who has never judged her for the decisions she has made in her life - whether or not Swift thinks they are right.
The only thing the pair doesn't see eye to eye on is Gomez's choice of residence.
Gomez has recently moved out of her parents' home into a home of her own in Lose Angeles.
The singer-actress shared, however, that Swift has been "begging" her to move to New York City.
Gomez stated that Swift bought a house in Los Angeles two years ago, but that when she finally got her own place as well, Swift decided to move to New York and has been persistently asking Gomez to move there as well.
"She thinks I fit in personality-wise more there and I can understand that but I love my home and I'm going to stick to that for awhile," Gomez shared.
