While in rehab, 27-year old pop singer Kesha sent handwritten notes to her fans detailing the abuse she went through in the hands of 41-year old music producer Dr. Luke. The notes, which were verified to be authentic, were written months before the singer filed a lawsuit against the said producer.

In one letter to her 16-year old fan, Kelly Mullin of Virginia, Kesha wrote about a person she had worked with who pushed her to the brink of a meltdown, penning, ""Someone I work with has literally driven me into this disease, tortured me and f***** with me and my family."
Mullin shared that she was surprised by Kesha's letter, because she did not expect a reply from the singer. The fan shared that she merely wanted to send the star her well wishes and to let her know that a lot of people loved her.
In another note, the singer even identified her abuser, writing, "Dr. Luke has tortured me & my family ... he did do what people know about + SO much more terrible s***."
Kesha, who claimed that the producer physically, verbally and sexually abused her, said that Dr. Luke also said that she "looked like a refrigerator".
In the lawsuit filed by the singer, she claimed that his abuse pushed her to develop eating disorders, saying that she was abused "to the point where (she) nearly lost her life".
Mark Geragos, Kesha's attorney, said that the facts they have presented in their case paints a picture of a man who used his power to control and commit horrible acts on a young and impressionable female artist.
The abuse was said to have began when the singer signed with Dr. Luke when she was only 18 years old.
Dr. Luke, who has filed a counter-lawsuit, denies the allegations.
