China is eager for Iran to close an agreement with the six world powers who are involved in the nuclear discussions to comply with the approaching deadline to halt its uranium enrichment program.
Political leaders from China, Russia, France, Germany, Iran, the UK and the U.S. met on Thursday with top U.S., European Union (EU) and Iranian diplomats to pave the path towards a nuclear agreement before the November 24 deadline, Xinhuanet detailed.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Beijing hopes Tehran will come to terms with the parties included in the nuclear talks. She issued the comments in response to a question about last week's negotiations in Vienna, the report added.
The parties involved in the talks are still facing obstacles in closing a deal by the set deadline, according to Wang Qun, Chinese envoy to the nuclear talks. They have achieved a bit of progress in the talks but they still need more "creative ideas" to solidify the deal, Wang added.
During the nuclear discussion in Vienna, the parties appeared divided over the boundaries that they should set on Iran's nuclear activities, especially those that encompass its uranium enrichment projects, said Xinhuanet.
On Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said they are one step closer to reaching a nuclear agreement with the six world powers.
Tehran reportedly took additional steps to comply with the interim nuclear deal, based on a UN report cited by Jerusalem Post. The monthly report may signify a positive sign for sealing a long-term deal by November.
Although refined uranium is used to power nuclear plants, it can also be used to make an important component of a nuclear bomb when subjected to higher processing. This is what the West fears Tehran is actually working on, the report said.
Iran's leaders, on the other hand, have defended the country's atomic activities, saying they are only using the nuclear reactors for medical and scientific purposes.
