Chuck Norris Fact: Walker Texas Ranger Endorses Rep. Greg Abbott

Chuck Norris hit the campaign trail Wednesday to rev up support for Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott in San Antonio, Texas.
The actor, best known for his role as Walker Texas Ranger, endorsed the wheelchair-bound Abbott as the perfect choice to lead the Lone Star State.
Hinting at President Obama's sagging popularity for his increasingly unpopular policies, Norris said poor leadership must not happen in Texas. He urged voters to pick Abbot who he said possesses both the experience and leadership skills to keep the United States in a leading position.

Norris said, as a celebrity he can help Abbott deliver across his campaign message, but the result of the election rests on the decision of the voters.
Together, Norris and his GOP candidate rallied about 200 Republican supporters in Corpus Christi where Abbott announced his plan of modifying border security by replacing it with just two words: Chuck Norris. This drew some chuckles from the mostly female crowd.
Perceived as the frontrunner in the gubernatorial race in Texas, Abbott has maintained his lead in the final days of the campaign. Presently, he is making rounds of 25 cities to ensure that voters would turn up at poll precincts come Nov. 4.
"Speeches are nice, TV ads are nice, but they don't win elections. Only one thing wins elections and that is votes," he told his supporters.
The attorney general is known for his opposition to President Barack Obama. Earlier, he took a swipe at his Democrat opponent, Wendy Davis, for her support of Obama's policies.
Following his announcement of having filed 30 lawsuits against the president in support of the Texas' voter ID law, he nicknamed his opponent the president's "ideological twin."
In a separate interview, Davis said she would have the president on the campaign trail with her any day. Davis recently received a high-profile endorsement from the newspaper Houston Chronicle.
