NBA GM Survey: Spurs Expected to Repeat, LeBron to Earn Fifth MVP

The results of the NBA's official 2014-15 GM Survey are in, and it appears the defending champions, San Antonio Spurs, are the favorites to win the 2015 NBA Finals again this season.

The survey consisted of 56 different questions for each team's general manger to answer, and each GM was prohibited from voting for anyone on their own team or personnel.

According to the results, the San Antonio Spurs are the favorites to repeat for the title with 46.2 percent of the votes. The Cleveland Cavaliers with the newly additions of LeBron James and Kevin Love, are following behind in second place with 15.4 percent of the votes.

Every survey the past few years since LeBron joined Miami has predicted the Miami Heat to win it all. Last year the Heat had 76 percent of all GM's votes to win the title, but was spoiled after the Spurs were able to defeat them in six games.

On the other hand, every year GM's and critics continue to "sleep" on the Spurs, as most San Antonio fans like to call it. With all of San Antonio's core and key players returning to make another championship run, it seems the league is no longer making that mistake.

Although Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant won the most valuable player award last season, LeBron James is the clear-cut favorite to add another MVP to his trophy case this coming season with 68 percent of GM's votes. Durant is following far behind with 21.4 percent.

Also worth noting, Anthony Davis is the frontrunner as the player most likely to have a breakout season. Considering Davis averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game last season, some would say that he already had his breakout season.

So there you have it - Spurs are forecast to beat the Cavs this season in a replay of the  2007 NBA Finals; LeBron will add his fifth MVP, and Anthony Davis will be averaging around 30 points and 15 rebounds next season, according to the results from NBA's 2014-15 GM Survey.
